Let's Be Legends.

Carcassonne castle
French fact. You can only say hi once. If you say it more than once, it's rude. If you say it less than once, it's rude. Attention, eh?

Here's the summary right quick. We've been praying too much and seeing a lot of miracles. We visited some less actives.

Soeur El Klai, aka Francoise, doesn't remember that she's really a member, so we got some work to do there.

Soeur Cocq is simply delightful and she fed us delicious pineapple juice and sent us home with brownies. We passed a bon moment ensemble and talked about her life and the Atonement of Jesus Christ. People just open right up with us. No matter how hard they try to be discreet, once they get talking, they literally tell you everything that has ever happened to them. Anyhow, she doesn't want to go to church because of a riff with a certain person, but she also 'lost' all of her scriptures. So we're working on that. It took us essentially all day to get to her house and the second counselor said we were crazy to do it, but hey. Apparently that's my reputation in our mission. No complaints there.

We visited Mama Gentil, a recently widowed old woman who thanked us for our frumpiness and told us over and over again to be careful in the sector we live in. It's nicknamed Baghdad. Hehe. All the while, this tiny old lady was force feeding us butter cookies and grape juice. She sent us home with a full plastic sack of herb pickings from her garden and fruit from her refrigerator. We made tea just so we could tell her we did. We will not be doing it again any time soon.

We also briefly saw her son's family and also the bishop's family before visiting the Payas. They are fun. And crazy. We get along well. THe food was delicious as well.

We also saw the Tantely's who gave us three coordonnées, fed us straight from their garden a delicious meal, and sent us home with several bags of cucumbers, tomatoes, spices, brioche, and nutella. They are lovely.

We also have an ami! Her name is Colette and she's 70, but surprisingly spry and full of energy. She really is a delight. She has had a rough life, but she says that she's searching for something and doesn't know what. And get this-she has a BOM already! She likes to give advice to people and one time she told a lady that she needed to seek religious help. Three months later she was baptized into our church and dedicated a BOM to give to Colette. At that time, however, she wasn't ready for it (still going through a difficult time involving someone trying to kill her or something...) but now she laughs because she wishes we had a living prophet and wants to know about the plan of salvation and all the other questions she's had are answered in a book that's been sitting on her shelves for years!

Other highlight is obviously Zone Conference. I got to see everyone that I love and have my interview with President. No complaints. A really good goal setting session is still ongoing as a result. I love President. I think his main purpose is to spark people. I'm studying his story telling abilities because I want to be an expert at that.

Sunday I had a lot of energy and had to go outside during church to shake it off. I almost ran around the church three times, but I tried to be a little more dignified. Sometimes I just get so overjoyed that my body can't handle it and has no way to expel it. Our bishop also gave us a few names and told us to report back with baptismal dates ASAP. On it.
